Gionee Marathon M3 with 5000mAh Battery Now Available in India at Rs 13,999


Gionee, which claims to have a large user-base in India via advertisements have been offering a number of new smartphone in the country. The latest device which the company has not officially announced has already found its way to the onine retailer eBay.

The smartphone in question is the Marathon M3. This is the company's latest smartphone in the M series and the successor of Gionee M2 is now available at the aforementioned e-commerce site. The Gionee Marathon M3 comes in black and white colors and is priced at Rs. 13,999. The major highlight of the smartphone is the monstrous battery pack.

Gionee Marathon M3: Key Specifications

The Gionee Marathon M3 sports a 5-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with Mali 400 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS.

The new smartphone houses 8GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card. Photography aspect is taken care by 8MP Auto Focus rear camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP snapper.

Connectivity options offered in the Gionee Marathon M3 include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG and it is a Dual SIM smartphone with Dual Standby.

The smartphone measures 144.5×71.45×10.4mm and draws its energy from a massive 5000 mAh battery, which according to the company offers up to 32.8 days standby time and up to 32.46h (3G) / 51h (2G) talk time.

It should be noted that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has not officially launched the smartphone in the country until now. However, since the device has already started selling via the third-party online retailer, you can expect it the formal release of the smartphone soon.
