Back in April, Gionee launched its latest CTRL V5 smartphone at a mid-range price of Rs. 12,999. Now the company has yet again silently released another handset dubbed as P2S. This one is a budget friendly device, which will cost you Rs. 6,499. You can buy the handset in White, Black, Blue and Pink color variants from the company's official India eStore. The Gionee P2S is a successor to the company's previously launched P2.

Gionee P2S With 4-Inch Display, Dual SIM Support On Sale For Rs 6,499

Going by the specs, Gionee P2S smartphone comes with a 4-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a WVGA resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.

It is powered by 1.3 GHz dual-core processor with Mali 400 GPU coupled with 512 MB RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.

It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. The device features 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS connectivity options. Moreover, you will also get a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby support integrated in the device.

Gionee has used a 4GB native storage unit in the device. It can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The device which measures 9.3mm thick and weighs 124 grams draws its energy from a 1600 mAh battery.

The phone is yet another addition to the low-end smartphone market segment, which is filled with numerous devices from domestic smartphone vendors like Micromax, Karbon, Lava, Intex and more. Thus the newbie will definitely face a harsh competition from a number of devices.
