Gionee P5L First Look: Processor and Connectivity

Coming to the internal hardware for the handset, the Gionee P5L is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor that's clocked at 1.3GHz.

The chip also gets MediaTek's MT6290 modem to equip it with LTE capabilities. And as far as memory is concerned, the device offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.

While we still wait to find out what kind of support the processor will offer, it can be said that going by our previous experiences, a quad-core MediaTek processor should be good enough to run most of your applications and games. Although the 8GB internal may not suffice most.

However, as we mentioned before, the biggest forte of the phone remains with the fact that it offers support for LTE even at a low price range. "Gionee has always kept itself updated with the latest technology advancements and market trends. We are announcing a host of new products and LTE devices will be our key focus," Gionee Smartphones India Head Arvind R Vohra said.
