Gionee Pioneer P2S Smartphone Announced at Rs 6,499: Top 10 Worthy Android Rivals under Rs 8,000

Gionee has been shipping a number of smartphones to the Indian market at a very reasonable price. The company's recently launched Elife S5.5, which is the world's thinnest phone measuring just 5.5mm thin has actually made a great entry in the mid-range market.

Now the company has released another budget-friendly handset called the Pioneer P2S to compete with the smartphones from domestic vendors. The smartphone will be offered in Black, Blue, White, Yellow and Red color variants at Rs. 6,499.

The handset will rival against the recently launched Micromax Unite 2, Canvas Engage and Moto E from Motorola as well. Also Xolo Q600s will be one of the rival devices for the new Gionee Pioneer P2S smartphone, as all these devices fall under similar price range.

Thus, today GizBot has come up with a number of smartphones that will rival against the latest offering from Gionee. But before that, you might want to take a look at the specs of Pioneer P2S.

The Gionee Pioneer P2S comes with a 4.0-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and Mali 400 GPU coupled with 512 MB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.

There is a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing shooter as well. Connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and obviously it is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) handset with Dual Standby.

The company has used 4GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It is powered by a 1600 mAh battery.
