What to do if you drop your phone in water
Many of us have already heard of this trick before, and in reality it really works as well. What to do when your phone is completely unresponsive
For iPhone Users
When it is plugged in, try to reset the device by holding the power and home buttons for up to 10 seconds. If this doesn't work, try to switch on normally. After the phone has booted, you can restore iOS by connecting to iTunes and downloading the latest version for your device.
Otherwise, restoring from iTunes can also be an attempt after putting the device into DFU mode, which is done by holding the home button while connecting the phone to your computer via USB cable.
For Android Users
Android devices are usually pretty flexible when it comes to connecting them to a computer and installing an update using free software known as ClockworkMod Recovery. If your mobile is bricked follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Return to the place where you downloaded the flash tools and update.
Step 2: If the phone only boots as far as the recovery screen, you will need to find an alternative ROM to install and copy it to your device. Installation can be performed through recovery.
Step 3: Should the device appear to be caught in a reboot cycle, you will need to use ClockworkMod Recovery to clear the cache data using the options Wipe Dalvik Cache, Wipe Cache Partition and Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
Step 4: Now remove the SD card, reformat, and try again.
What to do when battery is dead
Almost in every smartphones, battery won't hold the same charge it used to. Changing the battery is easy for Android users, while the iPhone users have to do a bit more work. You can usually buy batteries online and replace them without too much problems. For the Apple users, get some guided video, get your toolkit, open your iPhone and change the battery.

Another method is, use two parts of baking soda to one part of water. Mix it well until you get a solution of thick paste. Put a small amount of the paste onto a microfiber cloth and gently rub in a circular motion on the scratched part of your screen. Additionally for a temporary fix rub the screen with a drop of vegetable oil.
