Google Search by Hindi Handwrite Input for Android Now Enabled
Targeting the huge Indian population, Google has recently introduced the latest feature on Google Search for Android smartphones and tablets. The feature now enables user to write on the touchscreen Android devices in Hindi. However, Hindi language was already added in the Google Search option under settings while this feature allows the users to write instead of typing in onscreen keyboard. The feature is simple to use, users just need to write in Hindi on the screen and the word will automatically go to the Google Search box.
To enable Hindi handwrite feature, users must open their mobile browser and go to google.co.in. Then, users should go to the settings options on the bottom of the screen. On tablets, search settings is present on the right hand corner. One can press the Settings, Search Settings and enable Handwrite from the options. Also to get Hindi results, one must add Hindi as another language of search results.
Once the handwrite is enabled, the regular on-screen keyboard will dissappear and you get a small "g" icon at the bottom right corner of the screen. Tapping that lets you write anywhere on the screen. You can choose to write either English or in Hindi.
Moreover, devices running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean can also select Hindi as the default language through settings. In the ‘Language and Input' option, tap on ‘Language' and when you select Hindi on the list, the entire phone's interface will change to Hindi.
Reports suggests that Google has already announced this new feature to bring 300 million more users online. Moreover, Google has also added Hindi support in Google Translate app for Android in a recent update as well. Thus, android users can also write Hindi words on-screen to get the translation.
