The Samsung Galaxy S6 was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona earlier this month. With a beautiful screen, unparalleled camera technology and a slick design, Samsung came out all guns blazing with its new flagship.

The Nexus 6 developed by Motorola adopts its design from the 2014 Moto X. The device is surrounded by an aluminum frame, with the front made entirely of glass and the rear featuring slightly curved polycarbonate. It's a well thought-out design and is easier to hold than might be expected for a 6-inch phablet.

The Galaxy S6 features an all-glass front and back plates sealed with Aluminium edges. The Design is somewhat based on the Galaxy Note 4 design. Samsung has been very cautious on the design front and knew what would lure more customers.

The Nexus 6 offers a 6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 inch display with QHD (2560x1440 pixels) resolution and 493 ppi. The colours on the devive look real and impressive but fail to pack the punch expected on a high end device.

The Galaxy S6 on the other hand offers a display of 5.65 x 2.78 x 0.27 inches which has a resolution of 1440x2560pixels and a pixel density of 577ppi. The S6 is certainly the brighter performer with a bright, pin-sharp, impossibly detailed display.

The Nexus 6 was the first device to come with an Android Lollipop OS. That's precisely because it is a Google device, the Nexus 6 runs the stock version of the software. This is the pure Android experience.

The Galaxy S6 features Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Samsung's own TouchWiz interface placed on top. Samsung claimed that the new OS would not come with the avalanche of apps usually pre-installed on Galaxy S-branded devices, but it still features a bunch. Having said that, the new UI is an improvement, it's faster and more intuitive, with some updated animations and effects.

The Nexus 6 is fluidic and responsive. Apps start quickly, animations never lag and gaming is a real pleasure thanks to its Snapdragon 805 quad-core 2.7 GHz processor, backed by 3 GB of RAM. The graphics processor on the unit is a Adreno 420.

The Galaxy S6 runs on the latest Exynos 7420 octa-core 64-bit chipset, supported by 3 GB of RAM and a Mali-T760 MP8 graphics processor. The device is yet to arrive on to our desk for a detailed review but we anticipate that it won't disappoint us and would be one of the best performers on Android.

The Galaxy S6 has a 16 MP rear-camera, which provides brilliantly sharp images even in low-light conditions thanks to an f / 1.9 aperture, and some smart Samsung image processing. You can usually rely on Samsung to deliver on display and camera quality. The device also sports a 5MP front cam for all selfie enthusiasts.
