Google Rolls out Android 5.1 Update as OTA for Nexus 5

Search engine giant, Google has rolled out the factory image of Android Lollipop 5.1 to flash it on their own drives for Nexus 5 users. The recent news is that the updates will reach the users OTA. This Android Lollipop 5.1 update is 220.7 MB interms of storage capacity, and it is rolled out in phase across the world for the Nexus 5 users.

 

One of the feature with this update, is that it has device Protection which keeps your device locked even after factory reset. It can be unlocked unless the owner sign in the device and also HD Voice has been activated to improve the voice call quality.

Moving to the specification of Nexus 5, it sports a 4.95-inch capacitive display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, which is translated into 445ppi. It is powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 along with 2GB RAM. On the storage, it is equipped with 16GB of internal memory.

On the camera part, it flaunts a 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.3MP front camera on board. This device is shipped with Android 4.4. Coming to the connectivity, it has Wi-Fi, GPS, BT 4.0, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, 3G along with some sensors includes Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Barometer
