HP Slate 6: Mid-Range Android Jelly Bean Device with HD Display Coming Soon
The International Consumer Electronics Show 2014 which took place few days back saw a major devices from most of the consumer electronics manufacturers. Among all the brands, HP launched array of devices including a hybrid laptop/PC at the event that took place in Las Vegas. Now it seems the company is tying their best to come up with their latest mid range smartphone.
According to 9To5Google, the smartphone is quite affordable and is targeted to the emerging markets like India. Moreover, the price of the handset is speculated to be around sub $200 which translates to Rs. 12,304 in Indian currency.

Further the device is reportedly said to be released in several other markets. It is also rumored to come at the size which is similar to the Galaxy Note 3 from Samsung. However, since the price is quite low, you can imagine the specs integrated in the device, which would be very much inferior to the Note 3's.

The unknown device was heard of back in December last year. Now the device from the Palo Alto based company has also appeared online. Called as the HP Slate 6 VoiceTab, the tablet (smartphone) is not a new device to us, as GizBot reported earlier this month that the same device would come to India soon.
The HP Slate 6 VoiceTab had also appeared on Bluetooth SIG website. The same device has also been spotted in GFXBench database. Accordingly, it comes packed with a Marvell's PXA1088 quad-core SoC dialed to 1GHz. It would run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and would feature a 720p HD display and on-screen buttons.
There are no other details regarding the specs of the device as of now and nor the price of the device is out yet. However, Going the details that was spotted at the Zauba website, the 6-inch voice tab could be priced under Rs. 17,000 in retail market.
