A couple of days back, there was an image leak of Accord, posted on Twitter by Football, an XDA-Developers forum member. Though the image showed Windows Phone 7, it will be released with the Windows Phone 8 OS.
According to a recent TheVerge report, Football has come up with another render of the upcoming smartphone, which shows the reported schematics of the same, following the first image leak. If this schematic confirms the location of the camera, power and volume buttons, the 3.5 mm headphone jack and the USB connection port. The alleged schematics also reveals the proximity sensor's placement above the earpiece, the front camera on the upper left and a LED notification to the right of the speaker grille on the front.
HTC Accord is rumored to sport a 4.3 inch Super LCD 2 display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 chipset, an 8MP rear camera, micro SD card slot supporting expandable memory and NFC connectivity.
With the Windows Phone 8 OS to be released anytime in November, a lot of manufacturers are coming with their own smartphones based on the OS. Samsung already unveiled the ATIV S smartphone based on the upcoming Microsoft OS, Nokia will be unveiling its next generation Lumia smartphones based on Windows Phone 8 on September 5. So, it is not a surprise if HTC unveils its Accord smartphone soon.
