HTC Rezound is a wonderful CDMA device that offers support for 4G LTE networks. This mobile has become quite popular and has achieved a very good sales figure from the day it was launched in last November. The phone packs in a 4.3 inch screen and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon processor. The users are yet to receive the Android 4.0 ice-cream sandwich update for the mobile
Verizon, which is the network provider of Rezound, has announced that the phone will be getting its first firmware update soon. One of the reasons that this model has become quite popular is because of the presence of Beats audio in it. The new update would make the audio quality even superior. There are also other bug fixes and the phone will be getting a signal boost too.
This is the first major update ever to hit HTC Rezound. This would be an over the air update i.e. it would be send via the network itself. The total update will have a size of 52 MB. The company officials have said that with the new update the smartphone would be getting more stability and increased signal reception. The signal indicator bar has been overhauled and it now sports 5 bars rather than the 4 ones as in the old version.
The improved network support would ensure that there won’t be any dropped calls even in low signal areas and also that the voice clarity is much more improved. There was a timeout issue while using Wi-Fi. The connection would terminate after a particular period of time without any reason. This problem has been fixed with this updates. There were also stalling problems when using the Wi-Fi hot spot functionality, where the mobile is used as the network access point for other mobile devices. The issues with the task manager that stopped mail back ground services have also been taken into consideration. All this bugs have been fixed.
Some existing users have complained about random reboots happening in their mobile devices. This has caused loss of information for some users and HTC has taken care to see that this does not happen and the overall stability of the handset is improved in the new firmware version. The forced closure problem with the People application has also been taken care of. The users are yet to receive the Android 4.0 ice-cream sandwich update for the mobile and they are patiently waiting for it. That would be the next major update waiting in line for the phone.
