HTC Desire 310 With MediaTek Quad Core CPU Reportedly Coming Soon

Specswise, the Desire 310 is a basic handset with more-or-less similar features, when compared to a phone made by the likes of Micromax and Karbonn. Anyways, the phone comes with a 4.5-inch display having a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels.

Under the hood, you will notice a 1.3GHz quad-core processor powered by MediaTek SoC, backed by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be expandable via a microSD card slot.

The dual-SIM powered handset is powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. For camera enthusiast, there's a 5MP rear-facing shooter without flash, and a front-facing camera. The makers have added a 2,000mAh battery. Other connectivity features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G and A-GPS, amongst others. The device comes in Black and White colors.

After analysing the specs it looks like the phone should not cost more than Rs. 10,000 in India; though, we have wait for the final announcement.

Well, the HTC Desire 310 is not the same phone we would've expected with 8-core processor. Though, it's nice to see HTC adopting MediaTek chipset in favor of Qualcomm processor, in order to make 'ultra low-cost' handsets.

HTC may have gained an expertise in making some of the most tantalizing high-end Android-smartphones, but at the same time the company has unable to deliver something out of the box for millions of phone users residing in under developed nations.

The Desire 310 might be a weapon that could put HTC next to budding local domestic vendors in countries like India and China. We expect HTC will soon announce the Desire 310 for the Indian consumers shortly. Watch this space for more!
