HTC Desire 516 Mid-Range Smartphone Leaked With Quad-Core CPU
HTC is doing all it takes to at least stay afloat in the smartphone business, if not boast a dominating presence in the market. And a way the company has sought out to keep doing that exactly is by bombarding the smartphone market with a host of mid-range smartphones that will make sure the company still manages to make something out of that region.
Now, as expected, a new device from HTC has been leaked on the web, dubbed HTC Desire 516. Apparently, the new device is said to come sporting a quad core CPU and a 5-inch display.

A recent report from Phone Arena has shown that the next device in the Desire family will be numbered 516, suggesting that this device might be a slightly less-featured version of the Desire 816 - another mid-ranger that's yet to reach the store shelves currently.
HTC Desire 516 has also recently been spotted at Chinese regulatory commission TENAA and is likely to be officially introduced in the upcoming weeks. Weighing in at 173 grams and measuring 140 x72 x 9.7 mm, the HTC Desire 516 is said to sport a 5-inch display with 540 x 960 pixels.
Moreover, the model that's been certified in China has TD-SCDMA connectivity, and is made for China Mobile. The handset is said to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean for the moment, while featuring a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front-facing camera, although only coming with 512MB of RAM.
Apart from that, there's a brand new update to the existence of the device saying that there are not one, but two different versions of the Desire 516: 516t, which has the all the features that have been mentioned above, and a 516w, which runs Android 4.3 and comes with 1GB of RAM and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor.
