After launching HTC Butterfly S in India, the makers behind HTC One are gearing up for yet another launch. We're talking about HTC Desire 600c, a CDMA variant of popular dual SIM capable Desire 600 smartphone.
Last week, the handset was apparently found listed on company's official website. HTC India is yet to indicate at what price the company would launch Desire 600c Dual SIM in India. However, online shopping site Infibeam is in a mood to reveal the retail price a little earlier than anyone else.
GizBot spotted HTC Desire 600c Dual SIM, a smartphone having a 4.5-inch qHD display, quad-core processor and an 8-mega pixel camera on online shopping site Infibeam at Rs. 30,890. Moreover, the phone is listed under Upcoming launches.
Originally, the retail price of HTC Desire 600c is close to Rs. 34,000 (Rs. 33,900). The online shopping site Infibeam has listed the device at a reduced price. There is hardly any difference between Desire 600 dual SIM and Desire 600c dual SIM, except CDMA along with regular GSM. The original Desire 600 dual SIM is selling for Rs. 24,981 (average price) on leading online shopping sites.
There is a gap of Rs. 5912 between the price of HTC Desire 600c dual SIM and soon to be launched Desire 600c Dual SIM. HTC India should justify the price difference, as both devices have same internal specifications. Experts think that the increased price of HTC Desire 600c dual SIM (as listed on Infibeam) is because of falling of Rupee against the US Dollar.
The Butterfly S, a high-end smartphone by all standards, is retailing close to Rs. 53,000. Earlier the average price of a high-end smartphones in India was close to Rs. 42,000, but with way Indian Rupee falling against the US Dollar could force leading tech vendors to list smartphone prices up by 5-7 %.
South Korea's Samsung had already increased the price of its smartphones late last month. More vendors are planning are sell their respective handsets at premium. Get ready to pay more!
