HTC Desire 816G Dual SIM Officially Launched in India at Rs 18,990
If you are an HTC fans, you will be interested. Taiwanese tech giant HTC has today launched its brand new Desire 816G Dual SIM handset, which is a cheaper variant of the original Desire handset in India.
The previously released HTC Desire 816 is yet to get the sort of momentum it would have wished earlier. But with the new Desire 816G, HTC is looking offer a cheaper variant of the handset at a price that just might fit the bill.

HTC Desire 816G: Highlighted Specification
Going through the specifications of the new handset, the HTC Desire 816G has the same 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, which is similar to the Desire 816 that was launched back in April. However, this handset is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, instead of a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC.
Apart from that, the new handset runs of Android KitKat with HTC Sense 6 slapped on top of it. The handset also offers a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash with f/2.2, 1080p HD recording. There's also a 5 MP front-facing camera with f/2.8 720p HD recording.

The handset also has 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal memory, and expandable memory via the support of micro SD. The handset is 7.9mm-thick and weighs in at 158 grams. It also has support for HTC BoomSound and Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers.
Connectivity options for the handset includes 3G HSPA+, WiFi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, and GPS with a-GPS. It is further juiced by a decent 2600mAh battery unit.

The HTC Desire 816G Dual SIM is set to arrive in Black, White, Red, Green and Purple color variants and has been priced at Rs. 18,990 in India. The handset is set to go on sale early October. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
