Today we compare and contrast two Smartphones that will soon hit the stores. The models are HTC Evo 4G and LG Revolution 4G. Both are or can be referred to as Superphones for that matter.
These models are high on features and provide a wide range of utilities for their potential buyers.
To begin with both the superphones are devices that run on Android 2.2 Froyo operating system. They are full touch screen based phones. Both the models offer large 4.3 inch LCD displays and have a very good user interface and are suited for viewing pictures and video clips.
The camera department goes in favor of HTC Evo 4G as it comes equipped with a 8 mega pixel camera as compared to the LG Revolution 4G which has a smaller 5 Mega Pixel camera. Both the phones offer high definition video recording but the Evo 4G offers 1080p video recording as compared to the 720p of the Revolution. Both the phones have a 1.3 mega pixel front camera that facilitates video calling on high speed 3G networks.
On the multimedia front both HTC Evo 4G and LG Revolution 4G offer multi format audio and video player that supports playback of audio and video files in a number of well known media formats. The list also includes high definition h263 and h264 video formats. The Evo 4G has an FM radio which is absent from the Revolution 4G and both the phones have an universal audio jack of 3.5 mm size.
HTC Evo 4G has an internal memory of 512 MB and has expandable memory option for up to 32 GB via a Micro SD slot. The phone also comes with a free 8GB Micro SD card. Revolution 4G on the other hand offers an internal memory of 8GB and has support for expandable memory of up to 32 GB via a Micro SD slot.
Both the phones have communication and data transfer technologies like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and even 4G technology.
The exact price of both the phones are yet to be released but HTC Evo 4G is expected to be in a higher price band than LG Revolution 4G but if they are priced similarly then the HTC model is definitely the winner.
