HTC G2 With Sense 5.0 UI Rumored To Be Available In China And India?
Satisfied with HTC One aka HTC M7? This is not the end of road, as the Taiwanese giant is prepping another handset. What? Yes! It's true. The makers behind HTC Butterfly, wants to show the world that they are coming out with a mid -range Android handset. Currently known by the name of G2, the budget smartphone could' possibly' be unveiled alongside heavily rumored HTC One and HTC M4.
The latest buzz says that HTC G2 was caught with HTC's upcoming Sense 5.0 UI. Remember HTC One screenshot that appeared last week? Both handsets shares' similarity' in tone in regards to Sense 5.0 UI.
HTC G2: Made for China or even India
HTC was advised to pump up its marketing budget in order to position their handsets in the competitive market. Looks like, HTC has finally hired a new PR firm who is doing every possible things to make the Taiwanese company noticeable.
Coming back to G2 (a sort of codename), it's a mid -level Android 4.0 handset with latest Sense 5.0 UI. The new rumor suggests that HTC is anxiously waiting to shock the world with a mid -range Android handset. The alleged screenshot was caught red handed by PhoneArena.
The simplified UI is rather clean and surprisingly simple looking when compared to the earlier versions. There is no other information to be shared at this moment. The February 19 event will bring out more juicy details about Sense 5.0 UI in details.
Rumors are rife with HTC making smartphones for developing countries. It is understandable that HTC may come out with a device that is specific to China or even India, for instance. The company had announced below average quarter results lately.
HTC currently has 6 per cent of market share in the Chinese market. Talking about India, where the company hasn't launched any affordable handset under Rs.10, 000 in recent times. It makes a sensible move on the part of HTC to launch an affordable Android running handset. The Indian smartphone market is dominated by Samsung and Micromax, to be precise.
HTC G2 - Specifications
The HTC G2 will be a low-end smartphone running Android 4.0 ICS. Some of its specifications include: 1GHz single core processor, 512MB of RAM, a 3.5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels , 4GB of internal memory ( expandable via micro SD card), a 5-mega pixels rear camera , W-Fi, and USB 2.0.
