HTC Hima (M9) Release Date: Next-Gen Flagship Smartphone Tipped For CES 2015 Unveiling

The HTC One (M8) has been on sale for a while now and the firm has seen mixed sales response so it's time to look forward to the next-generation handset with mindblowing specifications.

 

Although there's no official confirmation from HTC yet, there is plenty already written and heard about the HTC One (M9). While the code-named HTC Hima (M9) was rumored to be unveiled at MWC in March, the latest rumor claims that the company is on the verge to launch its next-gen device at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Yes, you heard that right!

HTC Hima (M9) Tipped To Go Official at CES 2015

HTC, like any other tier-1 brand, is expected to launch a new flagship device in the first-half of 2015. Well according to reports HTC has already sending media invites for an event to be held at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.

Going by the leaked press invite, it surely appears to be HTC's press invite for CES scheduled in January. Basically, the invite points out at a "Big" camera and a lot of bright colors on this phone. CES 2015 is scheduled for 5th January, so we expect the device to get launched to this date.

HTC has yet to make any official announcements about their upcoming smartphone, the Hima (M9), but details about it have appeared on Chinese website, according to reports.

The HTC Hima (M9) will come with a 5.2-inch FHD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of on-board storage, Android 5.0, 20,7MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing shooter, 4G LTE and more.

There are also claims that HTC might unveil an upcoming handset under its Desire series at CES 2015. The HTC One (M8) was first launched in March this year, so reports have it that the forthcoming premium handset could be release during the same time frame.
