HTC M4: Facebook Home Less HTC First Variant Revealed to Come With UltraPixel Camera
Back in February, some leaked images of a handset alleged to be HTC M4 began making the rounds online. The handset resembled much like the tiny sibling of the HTC One, but, none of its specifications were known. In fact, some reports also claimed that the M4 will be launched alongside One.
Now, a report from Llabtoofer, a site known for leaking HTC software builds has confirmed that a new smartphone known as HTC M4 will come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the latest version of the Google's OS out of the box. Further, it also reveals that M4 will be equipped with a 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon processor, 4.3 inch 720p display, the UltraPixel camera as in HTC One, 1.6MP front camera, 16GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/GLONASS and Sense 5.0 UI.

Analyzing these specifications, it is clear that with Sense 5.0, Android 4.2.2 and UltraPixel camera, the M4 might be a similar offering as the HTC One, but with slightly mid-range traits.
Basically, HTC M4 can also be considered as a mid-range device without the Facebook Home launcher as in HTC First. Given that the Facebook Home aspect is aimed only at those who cannot live without the social network, the M4 may come into play as another low priced HTC device without the deep Facebook integration.
Some of the differences between the First and the M4 include the camera. Both look to have a 1.6MP front camera, however the M4 is speculated to arrive with an UltraPixel camera on the back, while the First has a 5MP rear camera. Needless to say, that M4 is shaping up to be the non-Facebook Home variant of the HTC First.
