The struggling Taiwanese giant HTC continues to bleed despite having a popular handset, the HTC One, under its kitty. The HTC One failed to catch up against likes of the Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4.

 

With changing market sentiments, HTC One won't be able to put the tech vendor in the forefront. The latest rumors reveal a second-generation HTC One in the coming days. Yes, you probably heard it right.

 

Few days back, GizBot informed you that HTC would announce the HTC One 2 in February. Codename: M8, the expected flagship handset might be the much anticipated HTC One 2.

Now according to a new leak, the first real pictures of HTC One 2 rear-back cover leaked on the web. The purported device appears similar to the HTC One in terms of design. Moreover, it seems that HTC has put the fingerprint sensor on the top instead of underneath the camera module.

This time around, HTC One 2 might come with a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM, and most importantly Sense 6.0. The last generation HTC One had a quad-core processor coupled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC.

Whether you like to call HTC One 2 or HTC M8, the Taiwanese giant would like to announce a successor to HTC One in the coming months. The alleged leaked pictures of HTC One 2 once again prove the existence of HTC One successor.

HTC will be looking to take on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Apple's iPhone 6 with its second-generation HTC One. Both the speculated devices are rumored to announce sometime earlier this year.

Recently, Twitter sensation @evleaks has revealed that the makers behind HTC One Max, is working on a new flagship handset codenamed M8. The HTC One was internally known by the name of M7.

The HTC M8 is expected to run Android 4.4 Kitkat with Sense 6.0. The company has already informed that it would bring Android 4.4 software update soon to its current range of handsets. So naturally, the next flagship handset from HTC will likely to arrive with Android‘s latest version alongside Sense 6.0.
