HTC-Made 'Desire 8' Mid Ranger Leak Looks Bold and Beautiful
HTC has always looked toward releasing potential high-range devices in the past that would look to compete against the likes of Apple and Samsung-made devices. However, the company has now realized the fact that it still needs to look for the customers particularly stuck to the lower price ranges.
And accordingly, the company is said to be in the process of developing a brand new mid-ranger flagship that will look to cater to this particular crowd, dubbed Desire 8 - which has now been leaked courtesy of Chinese site MyDrivers.
While it has to be remembered that the report here has arrived from a leak and that everything here has to be taken with a pinch of salt, going by HTC's final quarter results of 2013, it actually makes sense that the Taiwan-based tech giant is looking to make grounds with a new mid-ranger that will look to make the manufacturer an instant hit among users once more.
As far as device specifications are concerned, The HTC Desire 8 is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch display, although we don't know about the offered resolutions. However, the fact that the device is said to arrive with a 5.5-inch display, if true, will mean that this will be the largest screen HTC has even given a non-flagship device to date.

Apart from that, the Desire 8 has a plastic back which sports a 13MP shooter with LED flash, with a front-facing 5MP taking care of video chatting and selfies.
the device is also said to arrive with dual-SIM functionality, with the device said to be available in red, yellow, orange, cyan and white.
And as the leaked render shows, HTC could also release the phone with a dual front speaker setup.
However, the leaked screenshot for the device also shows the hardware capacitive buttons - which is similar to what we have seen for the previously leaked M8.

As of now, the HTC Desire 8 is expected to be revealed around March in Beijing, although expectations are high about a potential reveal at the MWC in Barcelona later this month.
