HTC One E9 With 5.5 QHD Screen Could Launch Later This Month

|

HTC is rumoured to launch a plus version of its flagship device dubbed HTC One E9, claims reports. In 2014, HTC launched the One E8, with a 5-inch FHD screen. It was a cheaper version of the flagship One M8. However, rumors now suggest that HTC One E9 will succeed the One E8.

According to @Upleaks, the technical specifications of the HTC One E9 will be different from the One M9. If rumors are to be believed, then the HTC One E9 would have a 5.5-inch QHD screen, a 2.0 GHz 64-bit MediaTek octa-core MT6765 processor, a 20 megapixel rear camera, a 4 megapixel UltraPixel front-facing camera, 3GB RAM , Android 5.0, Sense 7 and 32GB built-in storage.

HTC One E9 With 5.5 QHD Screen Could Launch Later This Month

If the latest rumor comes true, then the HTC One E9 will replace the One E8, which is currently HTC's entry-level handset in its premium range of devices.

It should not come as a surprise that HTC is following Apple's steps and will release a large screen sized variant of the One M9.

Previous rumors in the past have claimed that HTC would announce a large screen handset in March. While the company has already launched its much-anticipated One M9, we're left with no choice but to accept that there's one more premium handset that might get announced in the coming days.

It's being speculated that the device will be launched in China before March ends. So we're expecting the same device to land in India around April time frame.
