HTC One Max Leaks: Will The Company's 5.9 Inch Phablet Outshine Note 3 and Xperia Z Ultra?

HTC One Max Leaks: A Big Threat to Note 3 and Xperia Z Ultra

HTC which recently launched it's flagship handset - Butterfly successor - HTC Butterfly S sporting a 5.0-inch full-HD display, is now reportedly said to come up with a new 5.9 inch phablet dubbed as HTC Max.

Reportedly informed to be a big-sized variant of HTC One, Max has been spotted online in leaked photos on ePrice. Looking at the picture, Max seems it is the enhanced variant of the One with a stretched display size and has a thin bezel and similar frontal looks as HTC One.

Going by the specs, it has been revealed that HTC One Max phablet would come with the staggering display size of 5.9-inch full HD screen with 1080p resolution, 4MP rear UltraPixel camera with optical image stabilization, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage with support for microSD card expansion. The giant phablet will be powered by a 3,200 or 3,300mAh battery and the processor will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 tuned to 2.3Ghz with four Krait 400 cores.

As per reports, the phablet is expected to come with an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean along with the latest version of Sense UI. Although, there are rumors hinting at the stylus, but as of now, there is no confirmed statement by the Taiwanese company about the presence of the stylus.

However, like Samsung and Sony, HTC One Max is also rumored to make its first public and official debut on September at IFA Berlin 2013.

Competition Check - Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Well, if the rumors come out to be true and HTC One Mas hits the market sometime around the aforementioned IFA Berlin event in September 2013, it will definitely face a touch competition from two the most talked about big screen handsets including the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

While, Sony Xperia Z Ultra has been made available globally with specs including 6.4 inch full HD Capacitive touchscreen display with 10 fingers multitouch with 1080 x 1920, t, Android OS v4.2 (Jelly Bean), Qualcomm MSM8974 chip, quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon Krait processor clocked to 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The camera comprises of an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera and connectivity include NFC, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and USB. It houses 16GB internal storage, 64GB of expansion via micro SD card slot. The mega phablet is powered by a Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery.

In India, the mammoth handset is available at a price of Rs 44,990.

On the other hand, going by the ongoing reports, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is said to arrive with specifications like 5.7-inch AMOLED display, 13- mega pixel rear facing camera with Auto Focus along with Xenon Flash. The phone will arrive into different variants: a 2.3 GHz quad-core (Qualcomm 800) processor and Exynos Octa 5. Whether the device comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or 4.2 Jelly Bean, is out of question at the moment.

But in the end, performance and power are the two key factors which contribute to the success of any smart devices in the market. Hence, the HTC fans will have to wait and watch for the upcoming One Max, till the time it launched.
