|

HTC surely need a hit device, as the device maker failed to make enough craze in consumer minds. Despite having a terrific handset - the HTC One, the Taiwanese giant did not shifted handsets. And the failure of HTC One directly impacted company's last quarter results. HTC has some of the best quality handsets; still company is finding difficulties to position itself as a rising star.

Now the Desire 600 maker has even signed Hollywood sensation Robert Downey Jr to promote HTC handsets. The company even teased a trailer featuring Hollywood sensation recently. Even though, HTC is keeping a low profile by not sharing details about HTC One Max, a 6-inch Full HD phablet to be announced in September.

HTC One Max Leaks: Will The New Handset Turn Around The Phone Business

Since past few hours, the hype surrounding HTC One Max has been on a full swing with new leaks coming one-by-one. Few hours back, GizBot informed you how few alleged pictures of HTC One Max made headlines on the web. Since the pictures of HTC One Max didn't show how large the One Max was, when compared to a smaller handset. It was too difficult to say the exact display size.

ePrice has provide an access to a fresh image of HTC One Max with comparison being made with Motorola XT882. Clearly, the difference between the screen sizes is visible, and one can say that the indeed HTC One Max comes with a 6-inch display. Another astonishing thing about the phone is a suspected button on the left hand side.

It is believed that the button will be used to open battery cover. Otherwise, the rumored specifications of HTC One Max are pretty much unchanged: a 5.99-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM, UltraPixel camera, Dual Speakers on the front, Beats Audio, removable battery, NFC, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, DLNA and more.

As mentioned earlier, HTC utterly need hit device under its kitty to save the company from sinking. But the main question is whether HTC One Max is the right device to bring back HTC on the track. The same argument was made before the release of HTC One. The handsome device is breathtaking; however, it never gave HTC an opportunity to grow in markets like India and China. HTC remains a niche brand in the emerging markets. When Sony launched Xperia Z Ultra in India, the company clarified that a product costing Rs. 46,990, is not meant for masses. Well, Sony has Xperia Z and many mid-ranged handsets to balance its position in the Indian market.

There are rumors going on saying that HTC is up for sale. In India, HTC has started to hear consumers. The tech vendor has launched some new dual-SIM Android phones. For instance, the HTC Desire is a beautiful handset, but the price is still an issue with HTC made handsets. Even the poor visibility on TV via commercials, is yet another issue.

If HTC has hired Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez, then why no TVC/print commercial ever seen until now. The main problem with HTC is the lack of expenditure spending on marketing and advertising especially in tier-2/3 cities. It is difficult to get an HTC Phone in cities like Banaras, but one can find an iPhone 5 without any effort. That said, the beginning was not great, but now HTC can turn things right, if upcoming launches are being made in an Indian way. HTC will soon launch a Dual SIM version of HTC One in India. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates.
