HTC One Max, the landmark 6 inch phone integrated with giant specifications is now all set to hit the Indian retail shelves next week at a price of Rs 56,490. With the latest offering the Taiwanese tech giant is all set to gain prominent position in the market, but at the same time, there is one more phablet giant which has already landed in the market last month and has secured all the limelight to pep up the sales.
The talks is about Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which is available in the market Rs. 45,961. While, the newly unveiled HTC One Max has a several new features loaded in it, on the other hand, similar unique abilities can be found in Galaxy Note 3.
Thus GizBot has come up with a comparative rundown between the two monster sized device- HTC One Max and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to find out which phablet is better and would last long.
HTC One Max comes with a 5.9 inches Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display offering a pixel density of 373 ppi. On the other hand Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a bit smaller display measuring 5.7 inches but comes with a higher pixel density of 386 ppi. Both these device come with the FHD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
Both the phones fall in the category of phablet so they are not too handy, but Samsung device will weigh you lighter at 168 grams as compared to HTC One Max weight which is 217 grams.
Processor, OS and RAM
In India, HTC One Max will come powered by 1.7GHz quad-core CPU and it is also supported by Adreno 320 graphic unit and 2 GB RAM.
However, Samsung wins in this section, with Note 3 which has much better processing unit as it comes powered by Octa Core Processor (1.9 GHz Quad + 1.3 GHz Quad). Further, it comes with a Mali-T628 MP6 graphics and a premium 3GB RAM as well.
But both these device run on Android Jelly Bean 4.3 operating system, so you will have to wait for a Kitkat update.
Both these devices come with a microSD card slot which supports up to 64 GB of storage. The HTC One Max will come to India in two variants including 16 GB and 32 GB model while the Galaxy Note 3 is right now available in 32GB internal memory variant.
The HTC One Max comes with a 4 MP Ultra-Pixel rear camera capable of offering a picture quality of 2688 x 1520 pixels. There is a 2.1 MP front facing camera. Both the camera can shoot in HDR mode.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 13 MP rear camera capable of shooting at 4128 x 3096 pixels and it also features 2 MP front facing shooter. Both the devices feature an autofocus and LED flash.
When it comes to connectivity options, both features similar wide range of features which include GPRS, EDGE, 3G, LTE, WLAN, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, Infrared and USB and MHL.
HTC One max comes with a Non-removable Li-Po 3300 mAh battery which will offer a standby time of up to 585 hours (3G) and up to 25 hours of talktime (3G). On the other hand, Galaxy note 3 draws its energy from a Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery which offers a standby time of up to 420 hours (3G) and a talktime of up to 21 hours (3G).
Well, in this case you will have to decide whether you are a HTC fan or Samsung's. Yeah, none of them has paid us for writing this article, but we have seen the HTC One Max and when compared to Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Taiwanese offering definitely has some big screen to play around, actually it should be compared to a 7 inch high end tablet or iPad Mini rather than the 5 inch league.
Also, the BlinkFeed fits well on the HTC One Max screen, the Sense 5.5 UI is good to experience along with the fingerprint sensor which is placed at the back of the phone below the camera.
Alternatively, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has its own perks. It comes with a stylus, which has got some new and innovative additions like an extra nib and a metal ring. It supports some helpful features like Air Command, Scrapbooker, Screen Write, S Finder and More to affirm multitasking.
Also, going by the pricing, Note 3 again gets a thumbs up, but one should also give a consideration to HTC One Max unique stereo BoomSound speakers, full aluminum casing and huge screen state. Let us also tell you, HTC might launch One Max in India along with a stylus pen. While it is already compatible with HTC One + and Fetch.
But it all depend what exactly, as a consumer is your requirement, so both Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Max cater to a different set of audience. Which side are you on? Let us know in the comments section below.
