HTC all set to challenge Samsung, when it comes to number of devices planned for Indian consumers. Until now, the South Korean giant Samsung is believed to launch record number of handsets per year.
HTC, the makers behind premium smartphone HTC One, still very much struggles to make an impact on Indian consumers. For the past two-three months, the makers are trying to launch more handsets in India than anywhere else in the world.
Last week, GizBot informed you that the HTC Desire 500 was available for pre-order for a book amount of Rs 999.
Well now it looks like, in the month of October, HTC is ready to launch two more phones: the HTC One Mini and the Desire 500 in India. Both the devices are now available online via online shopping website Flipkart.
HTC One Mini is priced at Rs 37,299, whereas the Desire 500 costs Rs 21,490. HTC India yet to announce HTC One Mini and the Desire 500 officially.
The HTC One Mini is a cheaper version of flagship HTC One. HTC did the same thing what Samsung tried to do by launching an affordable version of Galaxy S4 in the form of Galaxy S4 Mini. HTC One mini has a 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels at 341 ppi.
The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with support of 1GB of RAM and 16GB of fixed internal memory. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box with Sense 5.0 and BlinkFeed UI on the top. The device packs a 4-megapixel UltraPixel rear facing camera and a 1.6-megapixel front facing camera. HTC One Mini also comes with acclaimed dual front speakers. The makers have added a 1800mAh Li Ion battery. Beats Audio comes standard with latest HTC handsets. Other connectivity features include: Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, Wi-Fi, DLNA, GPS, amongst other features.It is not known that whether HTC is planning to launch Dual SIM version of One Mini in India or not.
The other handset - HTC Desire 500 will compete against Sony Xperia L in terms of features and price. The HTC Desire 500 packs a 4.3 inch LCD display resolution having resolution of 480 x 800 pixels
The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 4GB of ROM ( expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card slot). There's an 8-megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus, LED flash, BSI sensor and a 1.6-mega pixel front facing camera for long video chat.
The makers have added a 1,800mAh Li Ion battery. The Desire 500 also comes with Sense 5.0, BlinkFeed UI and exceptional music quality, thanks to Beats Audio. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. Other connectivity features include: 2G, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, A-GPS and DLNA among other features.
