HTC One Mini And HTC One Mini 2 Won't Receive Android Lollipop Update
Many HTC One Mini and Mini 2 users will be disappointed after hearing, that their devices will not receive Android Lollipop update.
When asked when an update to the latest version of Android would be coming to the HTC One Mini 2, HTC tweeted that, "we determined that Lollipop on the One Mini 2 will not provide an optimal experience; it isn't scheduled to receive the update."

While HTC is busy not updating recently released phones, other manufacturers are promising updates to a number of older devices. Sony is updating phones from the Xperia Z onwards to Android 5.0 Lollipop, and Motorola is updating first generation Moto X and Moto G models in addition to later models.
For owners of either the HTC One Mini or One Mini 2, there is still some hope. HTC has yet to make a statement outside of the two tweets, so it may decide to pursue support of the older phones in the face of the backlash it is seeing.
