While the entire tech world is talking about the recently unveiled Samsung ATIV S, as well as Nokia Lumia 820 and 920, HTC along with US wireless operator Verizon is all geared up to splash the global tech market with a new Windows Phone 8 smartphone on the September 19 in New York City at 11AM.

Already, rumors are rife since past few weeks regarding three HTC Windows Phone 8 devices including HTC Zenith, HTC Accord, and HTC Rio, however, still tech enthusiasts are still not aware of the actual model names of the handsets.

However, recently pictures of an HTC Windows Phone 8 device got leaked via a Twitter user @Football4PDA confirming the name of HTC Accord as HTC 8X. (pictured above)

Following the mentioned tweet, @Football4PDA posted one more tweet detailing the specifications of the new Windows Phone 8 handset dubbed as C620e.

HTC 8X Rumored Specs

According to the tweet, the device will come packed with 4.3” screen, 1.2GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM, 16 GB of storage, 8 megapixels camera, NFC support, as well as Beats Audio built-in. This is consistent with previous rumors for the HTC “Accord”, and it was previously reported that the display will be a Super LCD2 screen with 720p resolution. Further the same anonymous XDA developer @Football4PDA also tweeted impressive specs for the possible HTC One X successor later on Friday. He claimed that the phone will be about 134 x 70 x 9.3 mm in size, weight in at 129 grams and pack the new Tegra 3+ AP37 1.6GHz quad-core / 1.7GHz single-core processor with 1GB of RAM and a 32GB ROM. The tipster also said it will be skinned with HTC Sense 4.5 on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, while still sporting the One X 1,800 mAH battery.

At the same time, the folks at Pocket-lint also came up with a report citing trusted sources and suggested that two more model -- HTC 8S and HTC 8V will be launched at the September 19 media event.

However, till now these are just rumors, hence all you HTC fans will have to wait for a couple more weeks to witness the upcoming Taiwanese firm smartphone range, till they are released officially.
