HTC One X, One X+, One S, Butterfly To Get Sense 5 UI By May: A Look At Features To Expect
It was in the last week when HTC sizzled the tech world with the launch of One with Sense 5 UI. There are a plethora of new features with the new UI and hence, they will be present in HTC One. But, what about the older smartphones from the Taiwanese tech giant? Will these handsets get some love from the consumers in terms of new software enhancements?
Well, it looks like they will also receive their chance as HTC has confirmed that One X, One X+, One S and Butterfly will receive the Sense 5 upgrade. On Facebook, an One X user has asked if the handset will receive Sense 5 upgrade. Surprisingly, HTC has responded to it quoting, "HTC will be offering upgrades to some of its existing devices in the next few months, including global variants of HTC One X, One X+, One S and the HTC Butterfly."

However, the company has made it clear by telling that not all the features will be available in the older smartphones due to hardware restrictions. Gizbot has tried contacting HTC and an inside source as tipped that these handsets will receive the upgrade in India within a month or two, hinting that users of One X, One S, One X+ and Butterfly can have their hands on Sense 5 within May.
What features to expect from Sense 5 UI?
With this being said, lets have a look at the new feature enhancements that can be expected out of Sense 5. Sense 5 UI will bring a new menu layout alongside a plethora of new apps like Simplicity and BlinkFeed to the HTC's Android lineup of 2012.
Blinkfeed is a notifications aggregation centre for news and social information including Facebook, Twitter, pre-defined news feeds and some select photo gallery content based on location. The information feed will get updated every two hours with data connection and quite frequently with Wi-Fi.
The other one - Simplicity is a standard Android homescreen that allows users to add app shortcuts and widgets for easy access. Also, there is a clock widget that is stuck to the top of the customizable homescreen.
As HTC has claimed that some features that are restricted to the new HTC One hardware will not be included in the upgrade, it can be considered that the company refers to the Zoe Camera and some smart shooting options.
