HTC Raider Announced
HTC's recently released handset, the HTC Rhyme, designed exclusively for females, apparently didn't get any big attention as expected. But it seems HTC has a few tricks up its sleeve as they recently announced the launch of a handset which supposedly would be the perfect competitor for LG Optimus LTE, one of the most anticipated handsets at present. HTC's rival for the Optimus LTE is christened as HTC Raider. HTC Raider is not GSM handset and it doesn't support any GSM networks. Raider is a CDMA handset supporting 800/1900 CDMA 2G networks and 2000 1 x EV-DO/LTE 700 3G CDMA network.

This giant Raider has a 4.5 inch 16M color capacitive qHD multi touchscreen. The display offers 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The display will feature proximity sensor, accelerometer etc and the screen responds very well to multi touch inputs. The HTC Sense User Interface is simply brilliant and the home screen looks immaculate with Raider's sleek lean mean looks. HTC Raider has an awesome loudspeaker which offers excellent output and fairly decent audio quality. It also equips a standard audio jack of 3.5mm, which gives you an alternative to connect the phone to cooler and better external speakers and enjoy music with a boom.

HTC Raider is a wonderful performer with a strong 1.5 GHz Dual Core processor and has 1 GB RAM. So obviously Raider is equivalent to a moderate desktop computer. Its size and its robust specifications make it an extremely powerful minicomputer kind of device. The handset comes with 16 GB micro SD card allowing up to 32 GB expandability of memory.

Although Raider is a handset, it doesn't support GPRS or EDGE but who would need them when they have super fast 3.1 Mbps 3G at their disposal. Besides 3G, the DLNA compatible Raider also supports 802.11 b/g/n WiFi with WiFi hotspot technology. A2DP enabled v3.1 Bluetooth makes sharing and transmission with other Bluetooth enabled devices very fast and easy. To connect with computers, a micro USB port is also provided in the device.

The HTC handsets' cameras always offered incredible clarity and quality. 8 MP dual LED flash front camera with 3264 x 2448 pixel max resolution is no different. The camera also lets you record videos in full HD 1080p quality. Secondary camera of 1.3 MP allows video conferencing. Running in the Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS, the GPS enabled Raider comes only in black color. Its easy-to-operate media player supports MP4, H.264, H.263 video and MP3, WAV, eAAC+
