HTC Sensation Models phone to get Android ICS
During the Consumer electronics show which was held during the beginning of this year we saw many devices being rolled out with Android Ice cream sandwich operating system. The good thing is that the existing android community need not feel left out since many manufactures are offering ICS as an update.
There was rumour that HTC line up of android smart phones is going to get the Android Ice cream sandwich update soon. Now some more information about the update is available. HTC Sensation line up is going to get the update pretty soon. All the models in the HTC Sensation range including HTC Sensation XE and HTC Sensation XL along with the original Sensation will be getting the update. HTC Sensation and Sensation XE will be the first to get the update and it will be by the end of March. Sensation XL will get the update after that.
Lots of interesting features are provided in the new ICS update. The user interface is completely overhauled. It now features bold new colours and amazing screen transitions. You can also navigate through menus via simple gestures. The typeface is optimized for high resolution screens and this brings in more readability and a polished feel to the overall user interface.
The home screen widgets are very much content rich and are highly customizable. Widgets for checking mail, playing music, accessing social networking sites etc are all available. Android 4.0 comes with a new and powerful voice input engine. It lets you input text by dictating it and you can do it as long as you want.
Even punctuations and pauses can be used to create correct sentences. Accessibility is highly improved and a whole array of features is introduced to help blind people use the device. The cameras capabilities are also improved.
The word is that updates for HTC EVO 3D, Desire S, Desire HD and Incredible S are also being worked on in the background. The ICS version for these models would roll out before the end of this year. This is as much information HTC disclosed but the simple knowledge that an ICS update is brewing up in the HTC plant itself is very welcoming and exciting news for HTC users.
HTC has promised that more information about the updates and release dates would be announced in the coming weeks. So just stay tuned and hope for the best.
