Apparently, the device in question, HTC A50AML, is likely to be a mid-range handset. The news was broke by popular Twitter spy @Upleaks.
The upcoming will come with a MediaTek MT6752 chipset with octa-core CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz. Leaked hardware specifications point to a 4MP UltraPixel front-facing shooter, which would be in the same class as that of the HTC One M9.
Furthermore, it's being speculated that the device will arrive in two versions - a standard and a premium version. Going by local media reports, the main difference between the two will be the front camera: the basic model will come with a 13MP sensor, without UltraPIxel technology.
The new Desire range handset is tipped to come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of native storage and Android 5.0 Lollipop. There's no indication as to whether the above mentioned handset will come to India or when it will be released.
HTC One M9 has been announced, and it's going to be made available in India next month. In addition, HTC is rumored to release as many as five new devices in the next few days. The HTC One M9 Plus and the One E9 are expected to be unraveled on April 8 in Beijing. Meanwhile, HTC's comeback tablet is said to flaunt an 8.9-inch QHD display. In addition, we might get to see the Butterfly 3 for the Japanese market.
