India has in the recent past experienced the biggest mobile phone wars in a rather unexpected segment i.e. the Smartphone segment. The rise in purchasing power of average Indians has resulted in the mobile market growing steadily with more and more people opting for expensive and feature laden phones such as the ones found in the Smartphone category. The Smartphone industry in India is projected to grow by around 40 % in the next 5 years.

Today we take some time to take a look at two Smartphone"s that are doing good sales in India. The models are HTC Trophy and Motorola Triumph. Both are top of the line high end Smartphone"s from the respective manufacturers and have tons of features and mobile wizardry in it.

 

The phones are neatly designed with carefully carved out edges and corners. HTC Trophy has a 3.8 inches touch screen based display that offers good resolution, however Motorola Triumph has a larger touch screen display screen of 4.1 inches. Thus Triumph scores in better viewing experience than Trophy.

 

Both phones are packed with multimedia features and provide support for a wide variety of audio and video based media files. They have a music player and a video player that supports even high definition formats. HTC Trophy and Motorola Triumph have an FM radio and 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting to external speakers or for enjoying music privately with the help of bundled headphones.

HTC Trophy and Motorola Triumph have powerful cameras that support high definition 720p video recording. Both the models have a rear 5 Mega Pixel camera and also a front VGA camera. The phones have good internal memory but the Trophy model lacks an external memory support as compared to the Motorola Triumph which has an expandable Micro SD slot that supports an extra 32GB of storage.

The connectivity and communication technologies are abundant in both as they come equipped with high speed 3G internet accesses, 2G technologies such as GPRS and EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and many more. The HTC Trophy runs on Windows OS whereas the Triumph is powered by Android OS.
The pricing of both the phones are in similar manner too as both the models are priced around Rs 35000. Motorola Triumph is just ahead of HTC Trophy as it is an Android based one and also offers more storage options.
