HTC Velocity 4G phone confirmed for launch in Europe

The 3G revolution is now somewhat settled and most of the manufactures are now concentrating on 4G LTE phones. Even if the networks are still in the process of offering support to these phones there seems to be lot of potential customers for these devices.

HTC too will be launching there 4G LTE phone soon. There model, HTC Velocity 4G is all set to be launched in Germany. This will be the first 4G device to be launched in Germany’s mobile phone segment. The carrier is going to introduce the people to next generation mobile phone technology and very high data speeds through this mobile phone.

In Germany Vodafone has already made majority of their network compatible with 4G technology. About 2000 base stations have been deployed and it covers most of the urban and rural areas. Download speeds of up to 100 mbps can be obtained by this network in theoretical terms. The upstream speed can be as high as 50 MB. There is not much information about the price tag in which this phone will be offered by the carrier.
