HTC Zara, an upcoming Android -powered handset, is said to arrive in Q4. Twitter sensation @evleaks tweeted alleged press shots and internal specifications of HTC's forthcoming device. HTC Zara appears to be a mash up of HTC One from the front and regular desire series from the rear back. It should be a mid-level phone with above average specifications.
The HTC Zara will likely have a 4.5-inch qHD display having resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The phone will be powered by a 1.2GHz MSM8930 Snapdragon 400 (dual-core processor) coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM (supports expandable storage via microSD card). Also add an 8-mega pixel rear facing camera. The makers have added a 2,100mAh Li Ion battery. Moreover, HTC Zara will likely to ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box with Sense 5.5 layer.
The Taiwanese giant always charges a bit higher, when it comes to HTC handsets. Although, HTC manufactured handsets are superior to competition, but consumers often prefer an affordable handsets with decent service support and quick software update.
HTC has understood the fact that it is hell lot difficult to sell device at existing prices. Well, the makers behind HTC One have come up with Desire 600 Dual SIM in India. Other highlights include: HTC BoomSound, BlinkFeed, Sense 5.1, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and much more. It is retailing in India at Rs. 25,581.
If HTC announces Zara in the coming months in the Indian market, we already have a contender present in the market - the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. The real competition of S4 Mini is with HTC Zara, rather than HTC Mini. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini comes with a 4.3-inch AMOLED qHD display having resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor is fitted inside coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory (expandable up to 64GB of internal memory). For taking memorable pictures, an 8-mega pixel camera is given along with Flash and Auto Focus. There's a 1.9-mega pixel front facing camera too. It's a dual SIM phone and comes with a 1,900mAh Li Ion battery. The phone measures 8.9mm in terms of thickness and weighs 108grams. Connectivity options are pretty much basic: 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, A-GPS and Bluetooth connectivity. The S4 Mini is priced at Rs.26,990 in the Indian handset market.
