Huawei Ascend P6: Latest Leaks Suggests June 18 Launch

There were quite a few leaks already made with regards to the Huawei P6 in recent past but now again it has surface online with yet another leaked images of it. The catch is, that all the leaked images from past and this one as well suggest its particular aspect which is the "thinness" of the device. This rumored thin and metallic phone was spotted in the official renderings.

It was reported by Engadget Chinese that the photos were posted by @evleaks on Sina Weibo along with a confirmation note from the device chairman, Richard Yu. The post reportedly was online for a short while before the comments were pulled down. It is said that the phone was expected to be unveiled at a press event on 18 June in London.

Although there are some modifications noticed in the phone featured in the new leaked images, it could possibly be the rumored Huawei Edge. Some also suggest that the looks of the phone seemed highly inspired by the iPhone 5, especially with the brushed metallic back, positioning of the camera and flash, and the built of the side frames.

Specifications wise, it is expected to be 6.2mm thick and feature the Emotion UI layer as seen on the Ascend Mate. when the Huawei Ascend P6 first surfaced online, it was seen in black trim but now with the new leaked images it looks like it will come in pink, silver and black colors. The Device is expected to run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The Ascend P6 does have one very noticeable feature in it in terms of design, and that is the lack of homescreen button underneath its display. It is through these new leaked photos that we learn of the Huawei Ascend P6′s pink-colored version, and it is expected that Huawei will launch all three different color versions on the day of the handset's official announcement.

Recapitulating earlier rumors regarding the specs were also that it would come with a 4.7-inch display at 1280 x 720, quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. And as mentioned earlier its thickness or thinness, should measure in at 6.18mm.
