Huawei Ascend P7 Release Date Update: New Teaser Hints at May 7 Launch

Over the years, Huawei has been struggling to compete against the likes of Apple and Samsung, despite being a well known player in the Asian continent. However, things are looking to change in due course of time with the launch of the Ascend P7.

Chinese major smartphone maker will soon will release the succesor to the Ascend P6 . Now a new video teaser released by the company just a while ago confirms the existence of the Ascend P7.

Huawei has posted a new trailer teaser for an upcoming Ascend P76 that would be launched on May 7 in Paris. Naturally, the company is trying to create an imact for its upcoming flagship handset through these means. The video also states that the event will take place in Paris. It ends with the tagline- "What is Next - Unlock Possibilities".

Huawei Ascend P7: What to expect ?

After the success of the Ascend P6, Huawei will launch the Ascend P7 on May 7 in Paris. Huawei Ascend P7 will feature a 5-inch Full HD display, 1.8GHz quad-core HiSilicon KIRIN 910T processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a 13 MP rear-facing camera, and an 8MP front-facing shooter. It will run Android 4.4 Kitkat wit Huawei's own Emotion 2.0 UI on top of it. The phone isexpected to be a premium device, just like its predecessor. The Ascend P7 is also expected to support 4G LTE.

Huawei Ascend P7: Competition

Huawei's Ascend P7 will be one of the premium device for 2014. With the competition coming from the likes of HTC One(M8), Apple iPhone 5S and the Samsung Galaxy S5, it will be not an easy road ahead for Huawei.
