These are exciting times, in terms of the number smartphone manufacturers and the different technologies involved. We are seeing a new device releases almost everyday of the week with the year just starting, and pointing toward a great finale to the year. And keeping up with the same trend, Huawei has officially introduced its newest Ascend Y600 offering that comes with a 5-inch display.
Huawei has just announced the Ascend Y600, the latest smartphone in the Y Series. The device was previously unveiled for Cambodia's fast growing mobile phone market, alongside the Ascend G730.
The Huawei Ascend Y600 comes with a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA display, while the device itself is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor.
Running on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS with Huawei's own Emotion UI slapped on top of it, the Huawei Ascend Y600 also offers a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera.
And although the device is yet to receive any official word on pricing or availability for the Indian market, the device is likely to come in black and white variants, and is also expected to be priced affordably when considering the kind of specifications on offer via the device.
