Huawei has recently announced the launch of their latest android smart phone called Huawei Astro. This mobile will be launched under T-Mobile carrier and there it will be dubbed as Prism U8651. This is a mid range android device and has got some real good specifications.

The mobile features a candy bar form factor and follows the contemporary android phone design. That is there is no physical buttons in the front except for four capacitive touch sensitive buttons. The edges are tapered and the corners rounded up. The phone looks sufficiently compact and light weight. So you won’t have any difficulty carrying it around.

The screen packs in a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It is capacitive type and supports multi touch commands. There is a proximity sensor just above the screen and it is used to automatically turn off the screen while taking calls. The phone packs in a single main camera at the rear but very less is known about its resolution.

The phone has Wi-Fi capability so that the user can access internet from a Wi-Fi hot spot. Bluetooth is provided for wireless transfer of data between similar Bluetooth devices. There is also a USB port with micro USB connector. In the entertainment side the phones media player supports all the common audio and video formats and there is an inbuilt analog radio receiver too.

Huawei Astro price tag is not yet revealed. The device is expected to hit the shelves by April 2012. We can expect the details about price and its other features close to the release date.
