Lenovo A7000 vs Huawei Honor 4X Comparison: Battle of Affordable Smartphones
The affordable smartphone range market is already crowded with several excellent handsets, such as the second-generation Moto G, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Micromax's Yu Yureka. And joining their league is the Huawei Honor 4X and Lenovo A7000.
On the other hand Lenovo made quite a splash earlier this year with its A6000 budget 4G smartphone, and now two months later, the company has debuted the follow-up device, the A7000. The new smartphone costs a little more than the original, but boasts of significant upgrades.

So do check out the comparison between the two most outstanding smartphones now available in India.
1.Design:
In terms of design, Lenovo A7000 is a little plain, maintaining the boxy look of its predecessor. Made entirely of plastic, it doesn't have much to boast of on the design front. However, it is very light at 140grams and you would be able to use it for extended periods of time without noticing the weight.

The Honor 4X's front looks a lot like the YU Yureka. It is dominated by a 5.5-inch screen. Huawei has chosen capacitive keys over the on-screen solution. The keys are not backlit, so locating them in the dark is quite a task. The handset is well put together, but in terms of aesthetics it comes nowhere near the Lenovo A7000.
2.Display:
Lenovo A7000 has a 5.5-inch HD screen, bigger than the 5-inch display of its predecessor. The screen quality is superb, with vibrant colours and excellent viewing angles. You cannot notice any pixilation on the smartphone's screen, though some portions may appear a little oversaturated due to the colour reproduction.

The Honor 4X sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS screen. This makes up for the pixel density of 276 ppi. That's quite low by today's standards, but don't worry -- the screen pixelation is not as bad as you think. The IPS panel's colour reproduction is great, but viewing angles could have been better.
3.Software:
The new A7000 smartphone runs on Lenovo's Vibe UI, which we have seen earlier as well. This time, the custom software is built on Android Lolllipop, so there are a few animations you will certainly notice. The performance is very smooth and we did not notice any jitters or lag while running it through our paces at the demo station.

The 4X runs Android 4.4 out-of-the-box. The software comes with Huawei's Emotion UI 3.0 on top of it. Much like the iOS, Emotion UI does not feature an app menu. This means that all your apps appear on the homescreens.
4.Performance:
Lenovo A7000 comes with a 1.5GHz octa-core Mediatek chip making it a powerful smartphone for the price, right up there with Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4G. Media playback is another strength of the smartphone, which is the world's first model with Dolby Atmos technology.

The Honor 4X is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 chipset. This quad-core chip is clocked at 1.2 Ghz.
5.Camera:
The Honor 4X sports a 13MP rear camera (with LED flash) and 5MP front-facing camera. The rear camera supports 1080p video recording. The camera app offers settings for all optical attributes, HDR, Panorama, Timer modes. It also has smile detection, super focus and personalized watermark.

Lenovo A7000 has an 8MP camera with LED flash on the back, a standard feature for smartphones under Rs 15,000. It comes with several shooting modes and image editing features but the images we captured at the booth were less than satisfactory.
6.Storage:
The Honor 4X has 2GB RAM, it comes with 8GB internal storage and also features a microSD card slot that supports cards of up to 32GB capacities.

Lenovo A7000 comes with a 2GB RAM, the handset is claimed to feature 8GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (unspecified storage limit).
7. Battery:
Another key feature of Lenovo A7000 is its 2,900mAh battery, which should last at least a day even with 4G turned on.
The 3,000mAh battery of Huawei Honor 4X is one of its biggest strengths. It can last up to a day and half easily with moderate usage, but if you are a heavy user, you will get only one day of juice from this smartphone.
8. Connectivity:
Connectivity features of the 4X includes 2G, 3G, 4G (both sim cards), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. The Honor 4X offers good call quality and signal reception and we did not encounter issues while making calls even in areas where cell signal is relatively weaker.
A7000 has the ability to support 4G LTE (FDD Band 1, 3, 7, 20; TDD Band 40), Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB.
