Huawei Honor 6 Plus vs Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs DSLR: Camera Testing
Over the years, smartphones makers have well tried hard to overshadow the DSLR market by putting their best into harnessing the camera on their flagship devices. But not all smartphones were able to justify themselves when it comes to the camera.
But one of them has definitely proved itself, especially when compared to its predecessor. We're talking about the Honor 6 Plus, Huawei's latest handset, the successor of Honor 6 is said to have the best camera in the mid range segment market right now.
The Honor 6 Plus' dual-camera system lets you take a shot where you can control the focus after the picture has been taken.

What's more, the tech giant from China has also packed in a sensor with a larger 1.98-micrometer pixel size. The powerful post-processing capability of the device offers same options of an SLR camera.
The Honor 6 Plus takes amazing shots with an 8MP rear-facing shooter, focusing fast and offering a simple, but feature rich camera app. On the other hand, the iPhone 6 Plus comes with an 8-megapixel rear-facing shooter.
In order to give you a better understanding of how the DSLR, Huawei Honor 6 Plus, and iPhone 6 Plus cameras holds up in the real world, we took a bunch of shots.

Here's a photo of a river taken with the Huawei Honor 6 Plus. It's pretty sharp and the colors look bold. The sky looks a bit bluish when compared to the iPhone 6 Plus photo.

And here's another shot taken with the Apple iPhone 6 Plus compared to Honor 6 Plus shot. It seems to be pretty good, but the colors appear to be faded a bit, as compared to the shot taken using the Huawei Honor 6 Plus.

There's shot taken using the DSLR in this. We were not expecting the picture to be the worst of the three. The DSLR produced an image that was blur than the images taken by both the Honor 6 Plus and the iPhone 6 Plus.

One of the difficult shots to take - with any type of camera - is a night photo with little available light. We took images of India Gate at night. The Honor 6 Plus' image was much more in focus when compared to the same shot using the iPhone 6 Plus camera.

The iPhone 6 Plus' camera was terrible at taking night shots. The Honor 6 Plus' image bested the iPhone 6 Plus, producing a less washed-out image.

Here's a photo of India Gate at night using an entry-level DSLR. The colors in this shot are bolder and brighter than others. However, the shot taken using the Honor 6 Plus appears to be more detailed and accurate too.

This close-up photo of a monument taken with the Huawei Honor 6 Plus looks detailed and rich. It's a mix of rich browns and more classy as compared to the iPhone 6 Plus and the DSLR shot.

Now here's that same shot comparison between the three devices. At a glance, one can spot the difference between three shots, where Honor 6 Plus shot is quite rich in tone and contrast compared to the other two devices.

Along with the 8MP BSI camera the Huawei Honor 6 Plus also flaunts a "Creative Shot" feature in the camera department. Creative shot allows its users to shift the main point of focus in any picture even after it has been clicked, plus it helps you to be more artistic in the field of photography. NOTE: Huawei Honor 6 Plus will be launched in India on March 24. The device is expected to cost less than Rs. 25,000. On the other hand, the Apple iPhone 6 Plus costs upwards of Rs. 64,000 for the entry-level model.
