Huawei Honor Holly with 5-inch Display Announced: Coming Soon in India

Along with the most awaited Huawei Honor 6 smartphone, today the China-based smartphone maker also announced its, what looks like mid-range device - the Honor Holly in the Indian market. However, the company just announced the phone and has not revealed the pricing of the handset at the moment.

The Huawei Honor Holly comes in Black color. Huawei plans to launch the smartphone in India soon and would reveal the pricing then. However, since the company has entered into an exclusive partnership with online retailer Flipkart, you can expect this one to also be exclusively available on the same e-commerce site.

Huawei Honor Holly: Key Specifications

Huawei Honor Holly comes with a 5-inch LTPS display offering ah HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with a 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Emotion UI layered on top.

In the imaging aspect, the latest handset sports an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Samsung sensor and a 2MP front-facing camera with OmniVision sensor. It houses 16GB internal memory, which can be further expanded via microSD card.

Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and obviously it is a Dual SIM smartphone with a dual standby mode.

It is powered by a 2000 mAh battery with Huawei SmartPower 2.0 that promises up to 24 hours of battery life with moderate use and over 48 hours on light use.

Looking at the specs of the new Huawei smartphone, it is sure that it will have to face a lot of competition in the Indian market, since Indian smartphone market is filled with a hefty number of smartphones of similar kind.

Moreover, also with the advent of the Android One devices' advent in the market the new Huawei Honor Holly will be under a threat.
