Huawei Ascend W1 Gets Listed Online: Nokia Lumia 520 Rival Coming to India Soon
Huawei is not restricted to Android for it's overall growth. The makers behind Ascend D2 could launch a budget centric Windows Phone 8 handset in the Indian market very soon. A good look at Huawei's India website is enough to understand that this Chinese tech vendor wants to push affordable WP8 handsets to the Indian consumers.
GizBot informed you earlier also that Huawei has plans to announce at least one WP8 phone in India. And the world's leading smartphone vendor indicated August launch date. Now it seems that Huawei is almost ready to announce Ascend W1 in India. Here is an excerpt from the original story.
"At the official launch event, Victor Shan, President, India Device Business Department told GizBot that the company could announce an affordable Windows Phone (most probably, WP8) running handset in the Indian market by August 2013. The head official also disclosed that the Windows Phone handset will be priced attractively at Rs. 10,000."

Now the Ascend W1 has been spotted on Huawei's India website, it's time to highlight the internal specifications of the phone. The Ascend W1 comes with a 4-inch IPS LCD display (OGS) having resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The phone packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (MSM8230) processor coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card).
There's a 5-mega pixel rear facing camera on the rear back with Auto Focus and LED Flash light and VGA quality camera on the front panel. Windows Phone 8 OS comes out of the box. The makers have included a 1950mAh Li Ion battery. The device measures 10.15mm in terms of thickness and weighs 130 grams. Other connectivity options include: 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, and Wi-Fi connectivity, amongst others. As per the specification sheet, the phone will arrive in four sizzling colors: Red, Blue, White and Black.
The Ascend W1 is a real competitor to Nokia Lumia 520 without any doubt, as both devices have similar specifications. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates.
