Huawei Rumored to Come With 4.9 inch 1080p Display Handset: Can it Outcompete Galaxy S4?

|

Now that Samsung Galaxy S4 has already been announced to the world, it is apparent that all the other major global manufacturers are busy prepping their Android bets to compete with the octa core CPU monster.

One of them is Huawei, the Chinese tech vendor is constantly trying to compete with the South Korean giant by coming out with handsets boasting almost similar specifications at a budget or more affordable price range.

Huawei Rumored to Come Up With A New Handset To Oucompete Galaxy S4

Recently, IT163.com has reported that now Huawei is working on a mystery smartphone that would compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S4. As per the report, the rumoured device is said to be only 6.3mm thick and supposedly will pack a 1.8 GHz K3V3 quad-core ARM Cortex A15 processor, Mali T604 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 4.9 inch 1080p display, 13 Megapixel camera and 2600 mAh battery. Unwiredview reports also revealed that the upcoming handset might be announced in April 2013.

Coming on to Galaxy S4, the heavyweight packs a 4.99 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a stunning resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 441 ppi, Exynos 5 Octa 5410 processor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 16GB/32GB/64GB internal storage, a micro SD card slot supporting up to 64GB expandable storage, 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Infrared port and a 2,600 mAh battery.

Well, the alleged Huawei smartphone can probably compete with all other features, except for the powerful 8 Exynos 5 Octa 5410 processor.

But the question which pops up over here is, is this an ideal move from Huawei? Given that, they have two impressive looking smartphones including the Ascend P2 and Ascend D2. As, unless the upcoming device brings a quad-core processor, there really isn't much difference between it and the other two new handsets from Huawei.

While, Ascend P2 features a 4.7 inch 1280 x 720 pixel resolution display, 1.5GHz quad core Huawei K3V2 processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 13MP rear camera with HDR, 1.3MP front camera for video calling, 16GB onboard storage, 1GB RAM, HSDPA, HSUPA, dual band Wi-Fi, LTE Cat 4, Bluetooth, NFC and a 2,420 mAh Li-ion battery. Also, the smartphone is dust and water proof similar to the Xperia Z.

On the other hand, Ascend D2 comes with a 5 inch Super Retina IPS capacitive touchscreen display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz quad core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 13MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera, 32GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB 2.0.

Meanwhile, there is no official conformation from the China based company, regarding the rumored handset.
