Huawei to Announce Smartwatch, Ascend P7 and Two Tablets at MWC 2014

When it comes to wearable smart devices, apart form Samsung and Sony, Apple is the brand which is highly awaited. Apple fans have been keenly waiting to see the company's iWatch for a long time but no signs of launch have been indicated so far. While on the other hand, Chinese smartphone maker Huawei might take the opportunity to join the bandwagon of wearable device manufacturers this year.

 
Huawei to Announce Smartwatch, Ascend P7 and Two Tablets at MWC 2014

The company is reportedly said to launch its latest smartwatch at the upcoming Mobile World Congress event slated for February 24th through 27th. But the maker of Ascend P6 is not only going to mark its entry in the wearable device section at the event but will also unveil a number of other devices, which include: a smartphone which will be a successor to the Ascend P6, and another two tablets. Thus the telecommunication industry's biggest annual trade show taking place in Barcelona, Spain later this month will surely see some new devices from the company.

Huawei has neither disclosed any information about the smartwatch, nor the other devices that are slated to arrive. The company has been doing pretty well when it comes to business and profits. Last year the company took 3rd position world-wide by shipment volume among the other smartphone vendors. The report was analyzed by the research firm IDC.

Among all the devices that Huawei would announce at the MWC 2014, only the successor of the Ascend P6 and another tablet have been making rounds in the rumors section. And according to these rumors, the P6 successor will be reportedly known as Ascend P7 (codenamed Sophia) and will come with 5-inch full HD display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 2460 mAh battery. The phone will reportedly be powered by the company's quad-core Cortex-A9 HiSilicon Kirin910 processor.

On the other hand, the MediaPad X1 could possibly be a tablet from the company. If rumors are to be followed, it could be seen with a 7-inch full HD 1920x1200p display, same processor as that of Ascend P7 with 3G support. Other specs would include: 1.3MP front camera, 5MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM - running on the Android platform.
