iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple 2G and 3G Variants Launched at Rs 5,499 and Rs 6,399

Following the footsteps of the fellow Indian smartphone vendors, iBall has now officially released its latest Andi 4.5 Ripple smartphone in the domestic market. The budget friendly smartphone which falls in the company's popular Andi series comes in two variants; the 2G Andi 4.5 Ripple which will cost you Rs. 5,499 and the 3G variant which will be selling at Rs. 6,399.

Apart from the 2G and 3G connectivity features, there aren't any differences between the two variants. Thus both will come with similar specs.

The smartphone features a 4.5 display offering a FWVGA resolution of 854x480 pixels. The low-cost Andi 4.5 Ripple is powered by an average 1.3 GHz Dual Core Cortex A7 advanced processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM. The device runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS.

When it comes to camera, the latest iBall handset sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash. Users will also see a front facing VGA shooter in both the models which can be used to tke selfies and make video calls.
There is a 4GB of internal storage unit along with a microSD card slot which supports an additional 32 GB of memory.

It comes packed with the latest features of day dream and wifi direct. Other connectivity features include, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, GPS and A-GPS. The 3G variants come with 3G HPSPA+ support.

Both the 2G and the 3G variants of the Andi 4.5 Ripple draw is energy from a 1500mAh battery.

The 3G version of the smartphone comes in Special Wine with Gun Metal and Rich Matt White with Chrome. The 2G Andi 4.5 Ripple can be bought in Special Grey with Gun Metal and Shiny White with Chrome color combination.

Competition

The latest iBall smartphone will have to battle against a number of smartphones in the market. Most of the smartphones which comes at this price range belong to homegrown manufacturers like Micromax, Karbonn, Intex, Lava and others. Thus among others, the Videocon A26, Nokia Ashs 501, Nokia Asha 502, Micromax Bolt A67, Lava Iris 402, Spice Stellar Glamor Mi-436, Gionee P2 and XOLO A500S would be a possible threat to the iBall newbie.
