With the increase in the popularity of dual SIM Android smartphones, several companies including local and global vendors have started launching a slew of such handsets into the price conscious budget market to secure a good share of the every-growing market segment in India.

Following on the same lines, iBall and Lava have recenlty come up with budget Android smartphone offerings with entry-level specifications and features. Newly launched iBall Andi 4.5H and Lava Xolo A800 have enough specifications for their price range.

When it comes to the pricing, the handsets are priced at Rs 12,490 and Rs 11,999 respectively, there being competitive in the budget conscious market, which is already occupied by several such offerings.

Dimensions & Weight: While the dimensions andf Weight of Andi 4.5H remain undisclosed, Xolo A800 measures 133 x 67 x 10.5 mm and weighs in at 115 grams.

Display: When it comes to the display, both the handsets pack a 4.5 inch IPS qHD capacitive touchscreen display with 960 x 540 pixel resolution.

Processor: In this segment, Andi 4.5H is equipped with a 1GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor with high-compute requirements offering interactive media and graphics experience, whereas, Xolo A800 is powered by a dual core 1GHz MediaTek processor, which boosts application and browser performance by about 40% as compared to other processors.

Operating System: Likewise most of the other smartphones in that price range, both Andi 4.5H and Xolo A800 come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

Camera: In terms of camera optics, both the handsets fare well with an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash and also has a front facing 0.3MP camera for video calling.

Verdict

Anazlyzing the specs, both iBall and Lava smartphones have similar specifications and features, however, in terms of software features, they are quite different.

Detailing on the iBall handset, Andi 4.5H comes with pre-installed apps including Whatsapp, Facebook, Opera Mini, Nimbuzz, Zomato, IBNLive, Moneycontrol and CricketNext.

At the same time, Xolo A800 is preloaded with social networking applications including Facebook and Twitter.

At the end, the buying decision depends on the consumers based on the price of the handsets as both have almost similar specifications.
