Mumbai based smartphone manufacturer iBall has been upgrading its Andi series of smartphones quite frequently. Now the Andi 5.5N2 Quadro, a new smartphone in the Andi series is already available on most of the e-commerce sites including eBay, Snapdeal and Shopclues at Rs. 13,799.
Going by the specs, the newbie handset comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display offering an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and 267ppi pixel density.
The giant smartphone utilizes a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor to run its system coupled with 1GB of RAM. It is powered by Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.
Moving on to the imaging technology, it has a 12-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and one can also find a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter as well.
Like most Indian smartphones, it houses 4GB of internal storage capacity of which only 2GB is user accessible. However, it can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD.
The Andi 5.5N2 Quadro comes with a regular connectivity options like 3G (HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps), WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. Additionally, the device is loaded with a dual SIM (GSM + GSM) slot with dual standby.
The smartphone, which has a dual stereo speakers on its back, draws its energy from a 2500 mAh battery.
The smartphone is quite similar to the Xolo Q2000 which was recently. Thus the new device will have to face a bit of a competition from it. Apart from this smartphones like Spice Pinnacle Stylus Mi-550, Karbonn Titanium S9, Gionee Gpad G3 and Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 will also come in the way of Andi 5.5N2 Quadro.
The Xolo Q2000 features a 5.5-inch capacitive touch screen IPS display offering an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phablet is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589W processor and a 357 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with BSI sensor 2, LED Flash, 1080p full HD video recording and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera as well. Xolo Q2000 houses an 8GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB with microSD. Moving on to the connectivity options, it comes with a regular features like 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG. Obviously, it comes with a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support dual standby. The device measures 156 x 77.8 x 9.8 mm and weighs 180 grams and is powered by a 2600 mAh battery.
Spice Pinnacle Stylus Mi-550
The Spice Pinnacle Stylus Mi-550 has a 5.5-inch display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot). Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The 8-megapixel rear facing camera comes with Auto Focus and LED Flash light and a 2-mega pixel front facing camera. The rear facing camera is capable of recording videos in Full HD 1080p format. The makers have added a 2500mAh Li Ion battery. The device measures 9.5mm in terms of thickness. Other connectivity features include: Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Dual SIM, 3G, 2G GSM, A-GPS and gesture based features.
Karbonn Titanium S9
The handset comes with a 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display offering a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a 267 ppi pixel density. It is powered by a Quad-core processor clocked to 1.2 GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. The handset runs on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean). It features a 13 MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and can shoot pictures at 4128 x 3096 pixels. There is also a 5MP front facing shooter. Connectivity options include GPRS, SPEED, WLAN, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB and 3G. Obviously the device comes with a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM). It also houses a 16GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB by using a microSD card slot. The handset draws its energy from a 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery.
Gionee Gpad G3
The GPad G3 has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There's a 5-mega pixel rear camera and a front facing VGA camera. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The makers have added a 2250mAh Li Ion battery. The handset is ultra slim at 9.6mm in terms of thickness. Other connectivity options include: Wi-Fi, 3G, Dual SIM, USB 2.0, 4GB of ROM (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot).
Micromax Canvas Doodle 2
The Canvas Doodle 2 comes with a 5.7 inch HD IPS display and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS which can be easily upgraded through FOTA. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The phone is also enabled with smart gestures that allow users an array of features like, ‘Proximity answer phone, Proximity dial phone', Flip to silent, Flip on call for speaker. The massive phablet sports a 12.0 MP rear camera with LED flash and a premium 5.0 MP front camera which will facilitate video chatting. There is a 16GB of internal memory in the handset which can be expandable up to 32GB. In the connectivity front, the phablet features 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, microUSB, GPRS and EDGE.
