The Indian mobile handset market continues to see demand of large screen handsets. From International players to Indian based tech vendors everyone is expecting growth in this very segment. Recently iBall announced two Android powered handsets - iBall Andi 5L and the Andi 5Li, which are now available for purchase in the market.
Both pack a 5-inch display, and comes in dual SIM flavors. The company has fixed the pricing of above mentioned handsets at Rs. 10,490. The iBall Andi 5L comes with a 5-inch display with resolution of 480 X 800 pixels, 1-Ghz dual -core processor, 512MB of RAM , dual SIM , Wi-Fi, 4GB of internal memory with expandable storage, an 8-mega pixel rear facing camera with Auto-Focus and LED Flashlight, VGA quality front facing camera, and a 1,800mAh battery fitted inside.
The only issue with the handset is that it comes loaded with Android 4.0 ICS, an old version of Google's Android OS. It also comes with a stylus.
While the iBall Andi 5Li packs some better than expected specs in comparison to Andi 5L. The presence of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is acceptable. It also boasts of a 2,000mAh Li Ion battery inside. Other specifications include: a 5-inch display with resolution of 480 X 800 pixels, 1-GHz dual -core processor,3G, dual SIM, 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi and 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded further.
The folks over at iBall are also planning to announce iBall Andi 4.5d Quadro, a quad-core based handset. The device was recently spotted on company's official site. As far as pricing, and retail availability is concerned one has to wait a little longer.
