India's leading telecom operator Idea Cellular has recently launched their latest handset called the Aurus 4 in the Indian market. The successor of the Aurus 3 that was launched earlier this year is currently riced at Rs. 8,999.
Moreover, the company has also attached an alluring offer with the device. For Rs 259/Rs. 261, Aurus 4 users can get 250 MB and 1.6 GB of 3G data and Idea TV subscription free for the first 3 months. Idea users interested can purchase the handset from all major mobile retail stores and Idea outlets across India.
Lets take a look at the specs of the newly launched Aurus 4 :
It comes with a 4.5-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Powering the device is a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM, and it runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.
It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing shooter as well.
Connectivity options remain regular with 3G (HSDPA 21 Mbps; HSUPA ), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS support. Apart from these, it comes with dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support with dual standby, similar to its predecessor.
The device houses 4GB of internal storage capacity out of which only 1.4GB is accessible to the user. However, the memory is further expandable up to 32GB with microSD card. The device is powered by a 1800 mAh battery.
The newbie device will surely have to face a bit of a competition in the Indian market from other handsets. Since Micromax, Karbonn, iBal, Intex and othersa rea also playing a huge role in providing an affordable range of handsets to the Indians, the market is quite full of such devices. However, among all, Samsung Galaxy S Duos, Xolo Q700, Sony Xperia E Dual, Micromax Canvas Fun A76 and Karbonn Titanium S2 will affect the sales of Idea Aurus 4.

Samsung Galaxy S Duos
The Galaxy S Duos is a dual SIM smartphone with goodness of Android. Specs wise, the handset falls under mid-range price category. The highlighted specifications include: a large 4.0-inch WVGA display, 1GHz Cortex- A5 processor, 4GB internal storage, 5-mega pixel front facing camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, 768MB of RAM, Android 4.0 ICS and A-GPS, Li-Ion, 1500 mAh.

It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Xolo Q700 Titanium comes with 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera for video chatting sessions. The Xolo Q700 has 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable storage support. Connectivity options include Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB. The Xolo Q700 is powered by a 2,400 mAh battery.
Sony Xperia E Dual
Xperia E Dual runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich (upgradeable to 4.1 Jelly Bean) and will sport a 3.5 inch scratch-resistant display with 480 x 320 pixels, single core 1GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support up to 32GB, 3.2MP rear camera and a VGA front facing camera, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and a 1,500 mAh battery.
Micromax Canvas Fun A76
Micromax Canvas Fun A76 is a phablet device with a 5-inch FWVGA display having resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card). It sports a 5-mega pixel rear facing camera with LED Flash light. Also add a VGA quality front facing camera. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. The makers have added a 2000mAh Li Ion battery. Other highlighted connectivity options include: 3G, Wi-Fi, 2G, Dual SIM, A-GPS, FM Radio, and Bluetooth, among others.
